James O. Parker, HGOPROA Member, who retired from the Department on October 9, 1990, after serving over thirty-five (35) years, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011. At the time of his retirement, he was assigned to the Burglary & Theft Division. During his tenure, Sergeant Parker was assigned to the Vice, Robbery, and Major Offenders Divisions. He joined the Department on August 8, 1955, entering Police Academy Class No. 12. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Parker of Magnolia, Texas, a son, James E. Parker and two daughters, Karen A. Gaynor and Deanna Morris.

Funeral services will be held at Klein Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 29, 2011, at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas.
