Kenneth R. Dunlap, HPROA member, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014.  Lieutenant Dunlap joined the Department December 28, 1959 as a member of Academy Class 23. As an Officer, he was assigned to Central, the Jail, and Narcotics Divisions. Promoted to Detective in April 1972 and then Lieutenant in 1976 and Retired February 1, 1988 while he was assigned to the Jail Division.  As a supervisor, he was assigned to Burglary and Theft and Auto Theft Divisions.  Survived by his daughter, Susan Clayton, he is preceded in death by his wife Mildred.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, Heights Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
