Raymond V. Garcia HPROA member, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria A. Garcia. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He joined the Houston Police Department on June 1, 1959, Academy Class #21. During his career with the Houston Police Department, he was assigned to the Central Division and Traffic Enforcement Division / SOLO Motorcycle Detail. Senior Police Officer Raymond V. Garcia retired on January 25, 2002, while assigned to the Special Operations Division.
The body is entrusted with Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023, (713) 928-5141. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the Main Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023, (713) 928-5141.
