Joseph Scerbo, a member of the HPROA passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the age of 75. He is a Veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Vadell Scerbo. He joined the Houston Police Department on August 20, 1973, Academy Class #61. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Patrol Bureau, Juvenile, Employment Services, Major Offenders, Burglary and Theft, and Auto Theft Divisions. Police Officer Scerbo retired on May 27, 1994.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, Texas 77007 (713) 869-3783, on Monday, December 30, 2019, starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038 (281) 447-8686.
