Retired Police Officer and HPROA Member Roger Burkhalter passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maryland Burkhalter. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He joined the Houston Police Department on May 6, 1968, as a member of Academy Class #38. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Central, Air Support, Southeast, Eastside and Clear Lake Divisions, retiring on February 15, 1997.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Peevey Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598 (281) 332-3111.
