Treasurer’s Report and Minutes of Previous Meeting: 
Motion by Walschburger, 2nd by Ashby to approve the Minutes and the Treasurer’s Report as printed.  Voice Vote.  Motion Carried.

HPOPS has their Errors and Omissions Insurance with HARCO.

Motion by Forrest Turbeville, 2nd by Bill Elkin to approve the December Business Minutes as printed.  Voice Vote. Motion Carried.

Retired HPD Officers are the only people (except cadets) who can qualify at the HPD range between January 1, 2019 and April 1, 2019. The ranges are being changed and updated to handle the new requirement for all active officer to qualify four (4) times yearly. Retirees can ONLY shoot the line at 11:00am  Monday through Friday. Sue Turbeville:(1-16-19 nf) Sue was transported to Willowbrook Methodist hospital by ambulance after falling at home. X-rays reveal that she has a broken bone above the knee replacement she had several years ago. She is currently in the E.R. awaiting the physician's next move to repair the injury. Lift up your prayers for Sue and her doctors.

Due to remodeling and updating of HPD’s two pistol ranges, Retired HPD officers are the ONLY people (except cadets) who can qualify at the HPD Academy Range between January 1, 2019 and April 1, 2019. Retirees can ONLY shoot the line at 11:00am MONDAY through FRIDAY.  The first (1st)Tuesday of each month the range is closed for maintenance!

Retirees still must fill out and send in a qualification application form. To get it go to the HPROA website. [More]

Police Officer Bacilio Guzman recently contracted a bacterial infection, which resulted in emergency surgery and numerous hours of physical therapy, resulting in an enormous amount of medical costs.  Even though Officer Guzman is continuing to recover slowly, his illness has caused him to be out of work for several months. D'Ann Kusak:(12-4-18 nf)  We visited with D'Ann this evening by phone and she reports that she suffered bad headaches last week until Sunday she went to an emergency room for treatment. Several test there revealed that she had suffered 2 mini strokes and that she had a tear in a carotid artery that was bleeding. She is awaiting tests results and physician decisions as to their next course of action.  Lift up your prayers for D'Ann and doctors for successful treatment & recovery.

David Sheetz:(12-4-18 nf) David called Forrest last night to advise that he would be undergoing orthopedic surgery on his neck /upper back at Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colorado this morning. [More]
