DRUG BUST IN 1966? Wednesday, November 29, 2017 I am writing some stories that are
loosely based on my father, E.J. Stutts, who was one of the original eight narcotics agents in
Texas. I am searching for information about drug busts in Texas from the mid-50s
to mid-60's. For example, I heard about a large drug bust at the Houston Ship
Channel in 1966, but have not been able to find details about this
If you have any information that I
could review, that would be wonderful!

I'm Patrick W. Shaver and I'm the director of the upcoming documentary
'Officer Involved.' This is a documentary that explores what the police officer
experiences after he or she goes through a shooting. A police officer myself, my
wife and I filmed the movie over more than two years by meeting with officers
and experts across the country. I'm reaching out because we are going to be in
Houston on 2/24 for a screening of our film that will be hosted by SpindleTap
Brewery at 6:30pm. It is the Houston-area premiere of Officer Involved and we'd
love if you were to share the information with HPROA members. I'm providing some
links to some of our news articles as well as a flyer.
