Message: I was in law enforcement in the 70's in S. Florida. Worker under-cover for 8 years. About a month ago I formed Corvettes for Cops Inc. This is not a social club but we are on a mission to support the police and more. Firemen, first responders etc., etc. Requirements are that you must own a Corvette. Purchase T-shirt & cap. ($30) No dues, no meetings. I have 13 members of which two are past and present law enforcement. I am seeking 12 more who would like to be on the same mission as us.You can check us out on our Facebook Group page, Corvettes for Cops.
ON NOVEMBER 10 I WENT TO THE DPS OFFICE ON DACOMA AT 5PM MY APPOINTMENT TIME. I APPROACHED THE CLERKS AND WAS ADVISED TO PRESENT MY DRIVERS LICENSE, AND EITHER A BIRTH CERTIFICATE, OR PASSPORT. I HAVE NEVER SEEN MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE SINCE I WENT INTO THE MARINES IN 1969. I THEN SAID THIS SHOULD PROVE I AM A CITIZEN AND I SHOWED MY POLICE RETIRED IDENTIFICATION. THE CLERK WHO SEEMED TO ENJOY DENYING ME SAID THATS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I STARTED TO GET REAL UPSET SO I DECIDED TO LEAVE BEFORE I STARTED SOMETHING AND GET MYSELF IN TROUBLE. I AM WRITING THIS LETTER TO PREPARE OTHER OFFICERS. I BELIEVE THIS WAS PREJUDICE TOWARDS POLICE OFFICERS, AND I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TEXAS WITH NO RESPONSE. I THINK THE CLERK NEEDS TO CHECK ON REQUIREMENTS FOR CITIZENSHIP.
An HPROA member sent this employment opportunity for posting. If any retired Officers are interested see the below description. Multiple officers will be hired. The openings will be at private schools in the Houston and Katy areas.
