I am reaching out to you regarding my father in law, Artis
Lynn Loftin. He was an HPD officer in the late 1970's-1980. Unfortunately, he
was killed, off duty, in an automobile accident in Pasadena on April 30,
I am trying to find any information, pictures, etc on him as
the family doesn't have much. I have tried to search HPD archives online and
have not been able to come up with anything. Hoping you can point me in the
Attached are photos to help identify him.
I appreciate any help you can offer. firstname.lastname@example.org
We are producing a 4-part documentary series that re-visits and analyses the 1973 Dean Corll, Elmer Wayne Henley Jr., and David Owen Brooks cases. I am looking for retired officers from the Houston Police Department that were involved in these cases. I know that sadly many of those involved have since passed away, but I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions you could provide in locating those that are still alive. We are eager to ensure that the work of the original HPD officers are properly, and accurately, documented.

Message:I am an attorney in Houston that is looking for a retired HPD motorcycle officer with accident investigation training to serve as a paid expert witness on behalf of the injured plaintiff that was the victim of a motorcycle wreck caused by an inattentive driver making a left hand turn directly in front of the path of the oncoming motorcycle. If any of your members have these qualifications, I would greatly appreciate you providing them my contact information so I can discuss the case in further detail and, if appropriate, retain their services as an expert witness. The lawsuit is filed in Polk County, Texas. Please call me at any time. The phone number I have provided is my cell, so I can be contacted at any time. Thank you, John Greco

I am writing some stories that are
loosely based on my father, E.J. Stutts, who was one of the original eight narcotics agents in
Texas. I am searching for information about drug busts in Texas from the mid-50s
to mid-60's. For example, I heard about a large drug bust at the Houston Ship
Channel in 1966, but have not been able to find details about this
If you have any information that I
could review, that would be wonderful!
