James E. Moore, 67, A member of the HPROA, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014. He joined Police Academy Class #35 on May 1, 1967. He was assigned to the Mayor’s Security Detail. James retired after 36 years on April 1, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Moore and brother, Retired Senior Police Officer Eugene Moore who serves as a Deputy with Harris County Constable Precinct Number 7.

Memorial funeral services will be held at Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church, 118 West Gray, Houston, Texas 77021, telephone number (713) 529-4507, on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held before the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be private.
