James Wiley Douglass, Jr. passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife, Clara Jean Douglass. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He joined the Houston Police Department on May 1, 1967, Academy Class #35. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Traffic and Accident, Training, Southwest, and Community Services Divisions; to Facility Operations/Maintenance; and to the Crime Analysis Division. Sergeant Douglass retired on September 16, 1988.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, January 31, 2018 at the
Foundry Methodist Church, 8350 Jones Rd, Houston, 713-937-9388.
