Bennie M. Finch, Deputy Chief and HPROA Member
, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife, Laurita Joy Finch. He joined the Houston Police Department on April 28, 1958, Academy Class #18. He was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief on October 9, 1976. Deputy Chief Finch retired on March 29, 1985, while in command of the Staff Services Bureau.

A private Graveside Service was held on March 5, 2019.
