Joel A. Welshons Retired, Sergeant and Member of the HPROA,
passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Deborah Ann Welshons. Sergeant Welshons joined the Houston Police Department on the June 28, 1982, Academy Class #106. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Central Division, Jail Division, South Central Division, Emergency Communications Division and the Internal Affairs Division until his retirement on May 26, 2012.
