David M. Pena, Retired Lieutenant,  passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the age of 59. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He joined the Houston Police Department on September 3, 1985, Academy Class #131. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Westside, Traffic and Accident, Jail, Southwest, Airport/ Hobby, Internal Affairs, Southeast, and Clear Lake Divisions. Lieutenant Pena retired on June 6, 2015.
