Dale Allen Van Ness Sr., Retired Police Officer,  passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife Debby Ann Van Ness. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He joined the Houston Police Department on August 23, 1971, Academy Class #51. During his career with the department, Police Officer Van Ness was assigned to the Northwest Division and Burglary and Theft Division, retiring on December 18, 1993.
