Richard Delano HPROA member passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Delia Delano. He is the father of Police Officer Cynthia Delano, HPD-(PD-A), Sergeant Richard R. Delano, HCSO, and Delma Delano; uncle of Senior Police Officer Ruben Zermeno, HPD, assigned to the Special Victims Division; uncle of Police Officer Elias Martinez, Jr, Metro Police; uncle of Retired Senior Police Officer Martha Saathoff, HPD; uncle of Senior Police Officer Donald Saathoff, HPD-(PD-C); grandfather of Delia Colunga, HCSO and Brother-in-law of Roy Martinez (dec.) HPD and Pct. 6.

The funeral service will be held at St. Phillip of Jesus Catholic Church, 9700 Villita Street, Houston, Texas 77013, on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Street, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas.
