James F. Loofs, Jr. , A member of the HPROA 
passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Loofs. He was a Veteran of the Air Force. He joined the Houston Police Department on September 14, 1959, Academy Class #22. During his career with the department, he was assigned to Traffic/Accident Division and Auto Theft Division until his retirement on March 25, 1995.
