Jesus R. Garza Sr. Retired Sergeant,  passed away on Monday, June 04, 2018, at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Maria Garza. He is also a Veteran of the United States Army. Sergeant Jesus R. Garza Sr. joined the Houston Police Department on March 29, 1976, Academy Class #74. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Southeast Division, Jail Division, Employment Services Division, Internal Affairs Division, Major Offenders Division, Organizational Development Command and the Special Investigations Command until his retirement on May 02, 1998.
