Russell C. Grimes, Retired Senior Police Officer, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017, at the age of 64. He is survived by his wife Judith A. Grimes; he is the brother of Retired Senior Police Officer Thomas A. Grimes, last assigned to the Training Division, retiring on November 9, 2013. Officer Russell Grimes started his law enforcement career with the Brookshire Police Department on October 1, 1977. On September 5, 1981, he joined the City of Houston Park Police Department. On September 1, 1985, the Park Police Department merged with the Houston Police Department. Officer Russell C. Grimes went through Academy Class #APM1. During his career with the Houston Police Department he was assigned to the Special Operations Division, Kingwood Division, and the Tactical Operations Division. Senior Police Officer Grimes retired on September 1, 2012.
