Retired Sergeant and HPROA Member Charles L Boone passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Retired Detective Ormond G. King, who passed away on April 20, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Boone. He joined the Houston Police Department on September 8, 1958, Academy Class #19. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to the Traffic and Accident, Records, Central, Training, Narcotics, Community Services, Property, and Juvenile Divisions. Sergeant Boone retired on September 29, 2004.
