Retired Captain and HPROA Member James R Goudy passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife, Denise S. Goudy. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He joined the Houston Police Department on September 17, 1962, Academy Class #26. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to the Central, Robbery, Burglary and Theft, Jail, Special Operations, Internal Affairs, Narcotics, and Criminal Intelligence Divisions. Captain Goudy retired on February 28, 1998, in command of the Command Center.
