Richard A. Puckett,
HPROA Member, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Officer Puckett
joined the Department, November 11, 1974 as a member of Academy Class
67. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked in
the Traffic Bureau, Southeast Division, and was working in the Robbery
Division when he retired June 1, 2000. He was the brother of Retired
Officer Joseph C. Puckett, who retired while last assigned to the North
East Division and retired May 2004, and the father-in-law of Retired
Sergeant Mack H. Blair, Jr. who was last assigned to the Academy (PD-C).
The body is entrusted with Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas (409) 986-9900.
Celebration of Life visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at the Carnes Funeral home.
