Billy Clyde Chaviers, A member of the HPROA, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, at the age of 84. He is preceded in death by his wife Peggie Jo Chaviers. He joined the Houston Police Department on September 16, 1957, Academy Class #17. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Patrol Bureau, Special Services and Jail Divisions. Officer Chaviers retired on February 19, 1982.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
