Donald G. Smith, Retired Senior Police Officer, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife, Idalie Smith. Officer Smith who was also a Veteran of the United States Army began his law enforcement career on May 9, 1984 with the City of Houston Airport Police Department. On November 20, 1992, the Airport Police Department merged with the Houston Police Department where Officer Smith was assigned to the Airport Division – Hobby and the Clear Lake Division until his retirement on February 21, 2009.
