He is survived by his wife, Cynthia A. Simper.  Officer Simper joined the 

department on May 6,1968, Academy Class # 38. During his 27 years on the Department, he was assigned to the Southwest and Central Divisions, retiring on March 27, 1993.

The body is entrusted with Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas. 936-756-2126.

A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 109 North Frazier Street, Conroe, Texas 77301 (936-756-8186, on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.  A Rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m.  Mass will start at 10:00 a.m. and burial will follow at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, (936-756-2126)
