Retired Sergeant and HPROA Member Craig L Newman passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Diane B. Newman. Sergeant Newman joined the Houston Police Department on June 30, 1979, Academy Class #87. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the North Division, Northeast Division, Juvenile Division, Northwest Division, Jail Division and the Auto Theft Division until his retirement on March 1, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at Living Word Church, 16607 Clay Road, Houston, Texas 77084 (281) 500-8913 on Saturday, February 6, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
