Retired Detective and HPROA Member Thomas J Smith passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, at the age of 94. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna J. Smith. He joined the Houston Police Department on February 23, 1953, Academy Class #9. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to the Patrol Bureau, Jail, Vice, Burglary and Theft, Forgery, and Special Thefts Divisions. Detective Smith retired on March 5, 1982.
The body is entrusted with Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 Highway 281 North, Marble Falls, Texas 78654 (830) 693-4373.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
