Mrs. Mary Magdeline Babineaux passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the age of 81. She is the mother of HPROA member John Babineaux, who was last assigned to the Downtown Division, until his retirement on February 25, 2017.

HPOPS Election Results

HPOPS ELECTION RESULTS 
The results for the election of Directors for the Active and Retired positions, 
up for election this year, have been counted.
Trey Coleman has won the Active Officer position on the HPOPS Board of Directors.

There will be a runoff election for the Retired Officer 
Position, between Rodney Hill and Scott Sisco.
The ballots for the runoff election will be mailed out next week.

Pat Kainer:(12-18-18 nf) N. Zoch visited with Pat by phone and Pat, is having issues after his neck surgery last week. His feet and ankles are swollen with pain in is calves also a persistent cough. He is to see his cardiologist this week.Had x-rays and ultrasounds Monday and just not feeling well overall. Keep Pat in your daily prayers. [More]

HPROA BOARD DECISION
Regarding HPOPS Run-Off Election

As you probably already know, the HPOPS election of a new Director, to fill the Retired Officer Position vacated by Larry Doss, had no clear winner on the first ballet. As a result, there is now a runoff election in progress to fill that position. The candidates are Rodney Hill and Scott Siscoe. Both candidates are members of the HPROA and both candidates are good men. Both candidates have attended our monthly HPROA meetings in the past and they both attended our Board of Directors meeting and our General Membership today. [More]

Once again the presses are rolling at the Rumor Mill. The latest persistent rumor is about the law changes that came about in the 2016 legislative session. First of all, no one liked what happen in the 2016 legislative session but the truth is that HPOPS was told to fix the plan or the legislature would fix it in a way that we would not like. [More]

Lisa Kennedy: (10-31-18rh) We visited with Chuck Kennedy regarding how his wife Lisa was doing after her treatments for cancer.  He said that she completed her chemo treatments back in August, is back to work, and doing great.  He wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and support.

 Floyd Daigle:(11-3-18 nf) Sue Gaines reports that Asst. Chief Daigles was diagnosed with cancer of the liver this week. [More]
