RE: Parole Denial for Thelette Brandon, TDCJ-ID # 00339778

Dear Sir:

I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you for your support of our community and the safeguard of our citizens.

Faced again with the parole review process of Thelette Brandon, who murdered my husband, Waco Police Sgt. Roger Barrett, on June 12, 1976, I am seeking your assistance to continue Mr. Brandon's incarceration in our correctional system.

I am enclosing copies of materials relating to the case for your review. I would appreciate any letters that could be written to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice protesting his parole. I am confident that with enough public response, Thelette Brandon will remain behind bars for the maximum time provided by law.

All correspondence concerning his parole should include Thelette Brandon's inmate number, which is TDCJ # 00339778.  Please do not send the enclosed confidential correspondence, but develop your original letter from the information.                                                        Should you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me at (254) 753-0238.

As time is of the essence, please remit your correspondence at your earliest possible convenience.

·  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Seeking Information:  Artis Lynn Loftin

I am reaching out to you regarding my father in law, Artis Lynn Loftin. He was an HPD officer in the late 1970's-1980. Unfortunately, he was killed, off duty, in an automobile accident in Pasadena on April 30, 1980.

I am trying to find any information, pictures, etc on him as the family doesn't have much. I have tried to search HPD archives online and have not been able to come up with anything. Hoping you can point me in the right direction.

Attached are photos to help identify him.

I appreciate any help you can offer.    lynn.jaime76@gmail.com

1973 Dean Corll, Elmer Wayne Henley Jr., and David
Wednesday, September 25, 2019
We are producing a 4-part documentary series that re-visits and analyses the 1973 Dean Corll, Elmer Wayne Henley Jr., and David Owen Brooks cases. I am looking for retired officers from the Houston Police Department that were involved in these cases. I know that sadly many of those involved have since passed away, but I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions you could provide in locating those that are still alive. We are eager to ensure that the work of the original HPD officers are properly, and accurately, documented.
